Grace

The name of my sunday school class is called the Grace Class. There are many definitions of Grace but the ones I like that best describe the ladies in my class are: The exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor, disposition to benefit or serve another; the influence or spirit of God operating in humans to regenerate or strengthen them. Last night our class fed the carnival folks that are setting up for our Poultry Festival. I think this is the 3rd of 4th year we have fed them. We fed appoximately 70 last night. Usually a business donates chicken and our ladies cook beans/peas/cheesy potatoes and enough cookies and brownies to feed an army. This year banana pudding was added to the menu and it was awesome. We serve them and they love coming back for seconds. These are guys and girls that do not have an easy job and it's also a dirty job working the equipment they work with for the rides that my grandaughters luv to ride! They told us nobody ever does anything that nice for them. You know it was such a small thing once we all pulled together like that. We had one little 2 yr old girl in the bunch. Her parents were sweet and she was adorable. We brought her a little gift of a baby doll, bubbles and a little bible storybook. She was all giggley and wiggley with that! These people are no different that you or me. Their life took them down a different path. Their clothes may not be really nice and they may have tattoos and are not always the cleanest. But their hearts are like ours. They yearn for somebody to care about them just like you and me, and to respect them and appreciate them. I think we may have just entertained angels last night.....
