Granny Nanny

Yesterday I played
"Granny Nanny" and stayed home from work to keep my youngest granduaghter Riley. She was not feeling well so we gave her lots of TLC and she is MUCH better!!




Last weekend Jayda helped me make brownies on a stick! She did most of the work and had so much fun decorating them. Then we made some toilet paper wrapped pumpkins. She kept saying "Grami they don't look like Jack o lanterns! They aren't..they are pumpkins!!..she is soooo much fun!

I'm home.

All Texas fires are out. We closed down the incident! I'll be home for awhile!
So good to sleep in my own bed!

On the Road Again!

I am leaving in the morning for another assignment for 2 weeks. I think they will soon be closing everything down. Texas is not having as many fires! Catch up with you all later!

Let's never forget.....

My little town is having a Remembrance Day for the people that lost their lives on 911. They are having prayer, speeches and bands. I do not want us to ever forget what happen that dark day. There were so many that lost their lives and so many that risked their lives trying to save people. Since I work for the Forest Service firefighters have a special place in my heart but my heart goes out to all that lost loved ones and those that risked their lives and now their life is never the same. And I am so thankful that we have not had another day like that. Lift them up in prayer today.

The Time Traveler's Wife

We went to see the movie tonight. It is the most bizarre thing I've seen in awhile.
Parts of if I liked and other parts were odd. Let me know what ya'll think. I understand if you read the book before you see the movie you will like the movie better. But I didn't do that so I will read the book now! My husband even went, he thought it was odd. What did you think?

My Girls!

Just had to post the newest pics of my grandaughters!! I love them sooo much!!!
I love the hat! She can hardly stay still!


They love shoes!! All shapes and sizes. I didn't have girls so I just love it that Jayda and Riley are girlie girls!!!




Jayda will soon be 5 yrs. old I tell her all the time I do not want her to grow anymore. She says "I am Grami, I am!" Makes me want to cry!



Riley will soon be 2 yrs. old. That is such a wonderful age!




They bring soooo much joy into our lives!!

A Party in my mouth!

My grandaughter and I fixed this desert last night. Actually she really did it by herself it was so easy! Grami just watched! I got the recipe off of someone's blog and I cannot remember where it was! I am another year older now! Anyhoo it was sooo delicious! I didn't think about taking pictures until it was almost gone.

Ice Cream Cake

Line your casserole dish with ice cream sandwiches.
Layer cool whip all over it.
Drizzle chocolate syrup and Caramel syrup over all of it.
Top with Toffee bits or cut up candy bar and sprinkle or Hershey's choc. bar.
Freeze.

You can make it any size you want and it's sooo easy! Don't ya think it would be grand with cinnamone and honey grahams with maybe Pecan Praline Ice cream or any other kind? You could do lotz of things with it!! Enjoy!

Don't Call the Fire Department!

It's just MY Birthday!! Wow that is alot of candles!! I am thankful for everyone of them. Just have to get a bigger cake it looks like!! I really love this age!

Julia & Julia

A friend and I went to see the movie "Julia & Julia" tonight. You MUST go see it. It was really cute and funny. I was not a big fan of her as a cook but I loved the character that she was! Her and her husband were madly in love!
