I've just discovered.........

My best friend gave me a Pandora Bracelet for Mother's Day!  I've never heard of them.  Mine is silver and she gave me charms like Best Friend, my initial and one for my birthstone and a couple of more.  You can add many more until your bracelet is complete and then you can start another one! They are beautiful.  We use to have charm bracelets when we were little girls but these are gorgeous!  This girl and I have been friends since were were 10.  She is like a sister!  We have shared many things for over 40 years.  She lives in W. Texas and I live in E. Texas but we get together as much as we can.  We've vacationed together, with husbands and without.  Nothing better than a lifetime friend!  Reminds me of a card I gave her one time, it said "I always wanted a friend like you when I grew up"..oh...I have one!!! She is beautiful on the inside and out and loves the Lord!!

Great weekend, the Woodlands, movie, pancakes and grandaughters!

I left Thurs. for Houston airport to pick-up my friend from W. Texas.  We have been freinds since we were 10 yrs old..believe me that has been a very very long time!  I picked her up and we headed to Katy to the Outlet Mall and to the Archiver's Store.   On the Katy Mills Mall...No...on the Archiver's Store..YES!  I luved the store.  I am not into scrapbooking but I do own a Cricut Expression...still in the box!  I have good ideas that just need to born into something, hopefully with the help of my grandaughters!  We went back to the Woodlands and checked into our hotel and shopped a little and went to the movie, "The Last Song"  book by Nicholas Sparks - yes!  movie...nope..wasn't that great!   We had a late night supper at Denny's and feasted on pancakes!! Soooo good!  The next morning we hit the Woodlands Mall and the Market Square.  Never enough time for all of that..I love the shopping there and it was great to spend time with my friend.  We shop and never miss a word in conversation!!  After shopping all day her daughter met us and she went to spend the rest of the weekend with her family and I headed home.  Jayda had her last ballgame Sat. morning and they won again!!  My oldest son was home for the weekend.  My youngest son went out of state to a church conference with his pastor so his wife and the little girls went to church with us.  After church my husband treated us mothers to mexican food.  We had told the little girls they could try swimming Sunday, even though it was very cool.  They had to try it and it was cold but they said it wasn't..ha!  We let them swim for about 15 min.  We came in everyone took a nap and my oldest son went back home to Dallas.  After naps my daughter in law and the girls left to go celebrate mother's day with her mom.  It was a wonderful day other than my youngest son not being here.   After much reflection I have to say I am soooo blessed!!!  I love my family and being a mother and grandmother is all I want!!

Mermaids, Blessings, Tantrums and the definition of Awesome!!

A couple of weeks ago we took the girls to Stephen F. Austin University to see the play "The Little Mermaid". It was the cutest and my girls were the sweetest!

We are still busy with baseball.  The Diamond Diva's have only lost 1 game.  We have one game left.
Jayda has had a fun time!  Those little girls give it all they have!

Sunday at church this little 2 yr. old angel decided to have a meltdown in the aisle at church about 1 minute before church started.  Laying flat of her back, legs kicking and crying and her little skirt up to her waist exposing her little panties to all of heaven above!   She got over it and resorted back to her sweet little self!

Saturday Jayda told me I was an awesome Grami.  The definition of awesome is: inspiring awe or admiration or wonder;  slang is excellent, outstanding, cool.  That is a new word for her and she used it alot.  To describe me and also to describe her peanut butter jelly sandwich and various other things.  I will take awesome anyday from her!!  Still makes me smile!!!  She is growing up and is just beautiful!

I count my blessings everyday for these 2 sweet little blessings in my life!!

Girlfriends - too funny!

I received this in email and thought it was soo cute I wanted to share!

"One Of The Best Things To Hold Onto In This World Is A Friend."

A group of 40-year-old girlfriend discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed upon that they should meet at the Ocean View Restaurant, because the waiters there were good looking and had buff bodies.

10 years later at 50-years-of-age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View Restaurant, because the food there was very good and the wine selection was good also.

10 years later at 60-years-of-age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View Restaurant, because they could eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean.

10 years later at 70-years-of-age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View Restaurant, because the restaurant was wheel chair accessible and they even had an elevator.

10 years later, at 80-years-of-age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View Restaurant, because they had never been there before.

He is Risen! He has Risen Indeed!

We had a wonderful Easter today.  Our service at church this morning was really great, the choir did an awesome job!  Our kids came for Sunday lunch and we did eggs with the little girls.  Hid them many times!
The girls Easter dresses were the dresses they wore to their Aunt Hannah's wedding last weekend.  Jayda was the flower girl.  I am anxious to get the pictures from the wedding.  She wore her hair up and looked like a princess!  It has been a wonderful Blessed Day!

She won her first game!

My 5 yr old grandaughter Jayda, had her first softball game today and they won 18 to 17.  They were the cutest little girls.  Her team is called the "Diamond Divas"  hot pink and black are their colors.  She did really good, she is a good little runner!  Her # is 2 and she has flowers air brushed on her pink helmet.  It was very hot but it worth every minute to get to see her play!!

And little sister was there to watch!!

I won! I won!!

We have been out of town and when we returned I found the nicest gift waiting in the mailbox! I am a happy recipient of a card giveaway at Grammy Girlfriend. I was so excited to have won. Teresa is very good at sending cards and letters. She had a big giveaway on her site and it's still going on at her blog. Teresa and I have known each other for many years. Lived within a block from one another for several years and our boys started first grade together. A very sweet family and a good friend! Look at all these beautiful cards! Visit her blog when you get a chance. She is one grammy in love with her grandsons!

Happy Dance!

I am sooo excited! My daughter-in-law passed her nursing board exam! We are so
proud of her. I took her Tues for the exam, I went shopping! She really stressed over it but I knew she would do it with no problem. It's been tough for them with her going to school and studying and trying to be a wife and mother. It's taken the whole village! She has a job she loves and everybody is adjusting!! God gets the credit for all of this!!

Bury the hatchett, the entire hatchett.

This morning I was listening to my favorite Christian radio program and they
were discussing forgiveness. A couple of things they said that impressed me were
"Forgiveness takes away the right to punish" and "Bury the hatchett actually means to get rid of the weapon" so when you say you have buried the hatchett, do just that, handle and all!
